Students in Mrs. Gernenz’s fourth grade classroom enjoyed a lesson on germination during their November Agriculture in the Classroom Soybean lesson. The class learned the process of germination by planting a germinating necklace. They were given soybeans, soil crystals, water, and a small clear plastic bag to watch the soybeans sprout and turn into a plant. Several facts were also shared about soybeans and what they are used for.
