The kindergarten art students at the Early Childhood Center fingerpainted for the first time! In art class the students discussed signs of fall. They noticed lots of things happening in nature that tell us fall is here. One student noticed the birds flying south and another student told us about how his family picks their garden vegetables once fall is here. The students learned all about how artists can apply paint to paper, artists don't have to use a paintbrush! They drew mixed media fall trees with oil pastels and rubbing crayons, and then they used their fingers to paint the leaves! Art teacher Julie Brncich reports their fall trees turned out beautifully!
