Students in Ms. Fincher and Mrs. Clark's English/Language Arts class at Coal City Middle School have been reading the novel The Giver. After reading chapter 8, students participated in their own "Ceremony of 12." They received their assignment (career path) and were given the opportunity to accept or argue a different path through a letter to the committee (teachers).
