Football players honored on Senior Night

Alec Waliczek finishes out his four years of football as a team captain. At CCHS he is also involved in wrestling, Coalers with Character, National Honor Society and Learning Leadership Team. He was accompanied on Senior Night by his parents Bill and Jaime Waliczek. His future plans are to attend a four year university to study finance. 

 

Zander Meents is a four year member and a captain of the football team. Zander also plays basketball for the Coalers. He was escorted on Senior Night by his parents Kristi and Nick Meents. He plans to continue his education after high school, however he is currently undecided on a major. 

 

William Johnke has been part of the Coaler Football team for four years and serves as a captain this season.. He’s also involved in Student Council, National Honor Society, FBLA, Spanish Honor Society and Coalers with Character. He was escorted on Senior Night by his parents Josh and Sara Johnke. His future plans are to attend a four year university to major in sports management. 

 

Landin Benson has been on the field for the Coalers for four years and is a captain this season. . He’s also involved in wrestling, Coalers with Character, National Honor Society, FBLA and Coaler Creations. He was accompanied on Senior Night by his parents Ketih and Stacy Benson. He plans to continue his education after high school, however he is currently undecided on a major. 

 

Dylan Young is a four year member of the Coaler football team. He also participates in basketball, baseball, National Honor Society, Student Council, Spanish Honor Society, Coalers with Character and FBLA. Dylan was escorted by his parents Kevin and Brooke Young on Senior Night. He currently plans to attend a four year university, his major is undecided at this time. 

 

Gabe McHugh is a two year member of the Coaler Football team. He also plays baseball and basketball for the Coalers. Joining him on senior night was his mom, Amy Campagna. His plans after high school are undecided at this time. 

 

Ray Gonzalez is a four year member of the Coaler Football team. He is also involved in the wrestling and drama club at CCHS. He was escorted on Senior Night by Vanesza Gonzalez and Alan Calderon. Following graduation he plans to continue his education in the field of sports training and continue playing football. 

 

Hayden Clark is a four year player and also participates in baseball at Coal City High School. He was escorted on Senior Night by his parents Jason Clark and Nicole Porterfield. Following graduation in the spring he plans to become a welder for  Local 597 Pipefitters. 

 

Jake Cerutti is a four year member of the Coaler Football team and was recognized on Senior Night along with his parents TC Cerutti and Katie Davis. His post high school plans remain undecided. 

 

Bobby Mitchell was recognized on Senior Night for his commitment to the Coaler Football team for the past two seasons. He has also been involved in choir at CCHS> He was escorted on Senior Night by Bryan, Judy and Jennifer Mitchell. His future plans are undecided at this time. 

 

Ayden Housman was recognized on Senior Night as a three year member of the Coaler Football team. He was escorted by his parents Ron and kara Housman. His future plans are to enter the trades. 

 

John Keigher plans to continue playing football at the college while pursuing a degree in education, as he would also like to coach one day. Along with football he participated in wrestling. John was escorted on Senior Night by his dad, Greg Keigher.
