Coaler Soccer players recognized

 

The Coal City High School Athletic Department recognized senior members of the Girls Soccer Team—Kiley McKim, Cassidy Jenke, Aubrey Mellen, Ava Houston and Madison Gomez—on Senior Night held on Thursday, May 2.

 

Kiley McKim was recognized for her four years of contributions to the Coaler Soccer Team. She has also participated in golf,  Future Business Leaders of America, Spanish Honor Society, Coaler Creations and served on the Prom Committee. McKim, was accompanied by Brooke Howard and Patrick Vanduyne on Senior Night.  Her future plans are currently undecided

 

Cassidy Jenke is a four year member of the Coaler Soccer Team and she was honored on Senior Night along with her parents Raquel and Michael Jenke, Cassidy has also been involved in Coalers with Character, Link Leaders, Prom Committee, Coaler Creations, Yearbook, Math Team, Footnotes, basketball cheer and golf.  Her plans are to attend Joliet Junior College prior to transferring to Illinois State University to major in health and physical education. 

 

Aubrey Mellen was recognized as a four year member of the Coaler Soccer Team. She has also played volleyball for the Coalers. She was accompanied on Senior Night by her parents Stephanie and Adam Mellen. Her plans after high school are to continue her career as a cosmetologist. 

 

Ava Houston joined the Coaler Soccer Team this season and was recognized for her contributions this season. As a Coaler, Ava has participated in cheerleading, Coalers with Character, National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society. She was accompanied on Senior Night by Tracy and Devon Elliott. She will be attending the University of Missouri with an English major for pre-law.

 

Madison Gomez was honored as a four year member of the Coaler Soccer Team. She also participated on the school’s volleyball team. Madison was accompanied on Senior Night by Becky and Dave Gomez. Her plans are to continue her education at Joliet Junior College.
