Students in Mrs. Moir’s second and fourth block math classes at Coal City Middle School are reviewing for their Topic 8 Quiz. They are using a box plot war card game, three VersaTile worksheets, and two coloring sheets to prepare.
The card game was reviewing the parts of a box on a number line. The students with all of the cards at the end of the game win. The students could complete any of the three versa tile worksheets to help them practice for their quiz. Using the VersaTile they answered questions about the spread and variability of a data set and histograms. The last activity they could have used to practice are coloring sheets. On one of them they answered questions about a box plot to color the picture correctly. And the other coloring sheet was answering questions about the mean, median, mode, and range to color the design accurately.
The students enjoyed the review day to help prepare themselves for their upcoming tests and quizzes.
