Fourth graders in Mrs. Gernenz’s class at Coal City Intermediate School have been learning about what animals need for survival, including using their senses to get information. In a hands-on investigation, they used their own senses to identify objects in small canisters. They observed what information they were able to get for each container using their different senses.
